Jake’s Gin
The Crishall Distillery launched Jake's Gin in 2018, using a 50L copper and steel pot still for distillation. The business has recently expanded and upgraded its equipment to a stunning 100L still.
The Project
The Crishall Distillery was born in 2017 from a desire to do something different that founder Ed could be truly passionate about. Jake’s Gin is the first spirit from this small distillery created through a love of gin, a passion for plants and a fascination with the art of distilling.
The Craft Distilling Business worked with Ed every step of the way, deploying our full range of services to help get the business up and running.
In July 2020 Ed purchased a new 100L still from CDB in order to increase capacity and grow his gin business.
We started as complete beginners with almost no knowledge of the gin business, but with the help of Matt and Nessie at the Craft Distilling Business, we now have a fully functioning distillery. They offered guidance and support at every stage from licensing, set up, label design and product development. We would whole heartily recommend.
