Halewood International chose a 500L copper & steel double retort still to make award-winning global rum brand Dead Man's Fingers.
The Project
To make its global rum brand Dead Man’s Fingers, the Bristol & Bath Distillery opted for a 500 litre copper & steel still, designed in the style of the traditional double retort rum stills from Jamaica. It is fitted with a 500L electrically heated boiler with twin 100 Litre retorts that have their own power sources. The condenser is a traditional ‘worm in water’ condenser.
A 200 litre, copper & steel, hybrid gin still, is also featured in the distillery. It is fitted with an electrically heated oil jacket and features bubble plates in the condenser column.
