The Nicholas Culpeper Pub at Gatwick Airport was where the Craft Distilling Business’s story first began
The Project
The Nicholas Culpeper, was where The Craft Distilling Business’s story first began. Working with The Restaurant Group PLC, based on a brief from Gatwick Airport, Matt and Vanessa created a proposal to install a micro-distillery in this space, an airport world-first. The key objectives were to create a still that is a) totally safe b) looks incredible and c) makes fantastic tasting gin. We were able to deliver on these three objectives and have built our business from this starting point.
We worked with Matt and Vanessa at The Craft Distilling Business to help us deliver the world's first ever distillery in an airport. They provided a range of services including equipment design and build, recipe development, team training, health and safety documentation and many more things besides. We have worked with them for several years and see them as true partners in all matters distilling.
